Parent Tours
2026/2027 Admissions
Thank you for your interest in our school. Below you will find a list of tour dates.
To book your place on a tour, please contact the school office by email: admissions@smitham.croydon.sch.uk - please include the date you would prefer, your own and your child's name, your phone number and email. The tour will have limited numbers; therefore we ask that only two people attend from each family. If you have any problems, you can phone the office on 020 8660 4399.
Please note if your child's birthday is between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 they are eligble to apply for Reception September 2026.

Please note that applications for Reception 2026/2027 are now open and must be completed by Thursday 15th January 2026.

Please note that applications for Nursery 2026/2027 will be open from Friday 10th Ocotber 2025 and must be completed by Monday 19th January 2026. All applications are considered by the date they are received.

How to Apply for Reception Admission
The children enter the school full time during the autumn term of the academic year in which they will be five years old.
All applications for the school are processed by the Local Authority(LA) and not directly by the school.

In Year Admission
Occasionally spaces are available in year groups other than Reception. Please contact the office to enquire about available places.

How to Apply for Nursery Admission 2026 - 2027
Admission to the Nursery
Children enter the Nursery in September of the school year in which they will be 4 years old. All parents are entitled to 15 hours per week of Nursery education.
30 hours funded Nursery places for working parents
Eligible working parents are entitled to 30 hours free Nursery care. Smitham Nursery is registered for this scheme. If we are able to offer your Nursery age child a 30 hour place it would be for 6 hours per day during term time.

To be considered for a place, parents should apply directly to the school; places cannot be guaranteed. Application forms are available from the Office or by clicking on the link below.
Entry to the nursery does not guarantee a place at Smitham Primary School.
